Our new Texas workshop is seeking a Purchasing Manager, to join our growing team and operations. As a pivotal member of the Supply Chain & Logistics (SC&L) team, reporting directly to the Supply Chain & Logistics Director, the Purchasing Manager will ensure the procurement of raw materials and components from domestic and international suppliers to meet our production plan. Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Track and report key functional metrics (shortages, inventory coverage, cost of obsolescence).
• Interface with Senior Leadership regarding the status of materials and components.
• Redefine Purchasing SOPs in partnership with main partners (production, planning, and finance).
• Identify best practices with global manufacturing facilities.
• Define inventory targets of raw material and components based on the production plan and supplier performance, and monitors the volume of orders placed in accordance with inventory targets.
• Being an active member of the Louis Vuitton purchasing community.
• Follows supplier performance with a Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) approach.
• Oversee international vendor coordination, follows up on logistics lead time, and support the production teams.
• Lead total inventory levels to ensure well-balanced global stock coverage.
• Collaborate strongly with Finance to monitor overstock situation and depreciation management.
• Participate in different routines of the workshop (production meetings, level of stock follow-up, etc.).

Profile

• Excellent organization, analytical, and detail orientation skills are required
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and/or French is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Perform other duties as assigned and dictated by business needs
• APICS Certification in Supply Chain is a plus.

• 5-7 years relevant experience in Logistics, Purchasing or Supply Chain environment
• Experience with MRP and related software (SAP, JDE, etc.)
• Ability to multi-task and manage time
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented, and continually changing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), particularly advanced skills in Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including team building, meeting facilitation, and collaborative problem-solving/decision-making.
