Eaton’s Power Distribution and Control Assemblies division is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager. This position is based on-site at our Arden, NC facility. Relocation assistance will be provided.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $101250.0 - $148500.0 a year.

What you’ll do:
Through leadership of a team of Buyers and Sr. Buyers, the Purchasing Manager is responsible for all sourcing decisions, supplier performance metrics, invoicing resolution, supplier OTP, cost-out metrics, and general material availability / procurement decisions. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for leading large-scale RFQ’s to improve material supply, leverage cost-savings initiatives, or exit a poor-performing supplier. This position supports a high-visibility manufacturing site that utilizes predominately ETO manufacturing through unique engineering BOM’s. The supply base is diverse, but also is heavily reliant on inner-company supply to achieve monthly financial commitments.
- Establish and direct a management system for the Purchasing function that drives and monitors continuous improvement.
- Create a climate of job satisfaction and open communication.
- Establish and track development plans for individuals and the department that are aligned with department, plant, and divisional objectives.
- Plan and administer an effective materials cost improvement program.
- Support divisional and corporate initiatives as they relate to material procurement and supplier management.
- Provide training, exposure, and support to foster maximum employee development, growth, satisfaction, and performance.
- Optimize sourcing strategies to provide the optimal cost, delivery, and quality.
- Establish and direct purchasing policies, procedures, and strategies to support New Product Development in a highly MTO, Customer Order Engineered manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Operational knowledge of the electrical distribution industry
- Experience managing large-scale RFQs
- CPIM
- Previous manager of people experience
- Experience with intercompany purchase orders and inventory transfers
