3+ year's experience in a Professional Proposal role

Experienced in highly regulated industries

Excellent writing skills and extensive experience in writing grant proposals and reports

Experience working in grant writing for non-profit organizations; working in the democracy and/or elections space is a plus.

A recent track record of securing grant funding for non-profit organizations

Ability to ‘jump in’ and learn about our organization.

Ability to work with and coordinate with a team including development and communications staff

An understanding of current trends in the philanthropic community

Experience or education in restoration, watershed planning, land use planning, forestry, natural resource management, environmental studies or related field.

Eight (8) years or more of education and experience combined that demonstrates the candidate meets all competency requirements for this position.

Current resume, detailing experience, education, and relevant skills or talents

Knowledge of federal, state and local grant funding sources including application processes and requirements.

Experience in grant writing for higher education or a government agency.

Required Education, Experience, and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree, (preferably Master’s Degree) in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management or related field

Prior experience of writing or participating in the RFP process is a distinct advantage

Prior experience in U.S. Fixed Income is a distinct advantage

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; excellent writing skills in English

Maintenance of product profiles and investment process language; organization of language in the department’s proposal software system

Overall responsibility for production, internal distribution and curation of draft and final version RFPs and other client documents

Masters’ degree in any scientific discipline, or relevant experience that provides the scientific and technical skills required to support this role.

Experience with writing grants, particularly to government agencies.

Experience summarizing scientific topics for public consumption.

Experience with university-based research concepts, principles, and conduct of research.

The ideal candidate should have good project management skills to ensure that proposals are submitted accurately, thoroughly, and on time.

Experience with State and local government entities is a plus.

Determine proposal requirements by identifying and clarifying objectives within the RFPs.

BA/BS required with 3 years of business experience

Two or more years of experience responding to RFPs.

Candidate must have Excellent writing, organizational, communication and planning skills

Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.

Social Media Curation and Support: Assist with the management and content creation for social media platforms.

RFP Prequalification and Tracking: Assisting with the evaluation and tracking of Request for Proposal (RFP) opportunities.

·Perform forecasting and market research based on client capabilities using tools like Acquisition.gov, Sam.gov, FPDS, Govtribe, etc.

·Review Solicitations. Assess, document, and effectively communicate solicitation requirements.

·Manage the document repository of submittedproposals, content, and other relevant materials for future use.

Update proposal center library and to maintain and improve proposal writing tools to improve knowledge management

Serve as volume lead/book boss and oversee proposal contributors or supporting writers to meet deadlines and quality standards for color reviews

Interview and collaborate with SMEs to understand and articulate solutions and approaches

Support all phases of proposal development from draft RFP through gold team recovery

Identify, document, and resolve risks to proposal compliance, schedule, and quality; escalates risks for mitigation support when needed

Perform one-voice technical and grammatical editing for proposal documents
