Job Description
Olson Kundig is a Seattle and New York City-based design practice founded on the ideas that buildings can serve as a bridge between nature, culture and people, and that inspiring surroundings have a positive effect on people’s lives. The firm’s work can be found across the globe, with projects as wide-ranging as huts to high rises, homes—often for art collectors—to academic, cultural and civic projects, museums and exhibition design, places of worship, creative production, urban design, and interior design.


Currently, we are seeking a Project Administrator who can help contribute to the overall excellence of work coming from Olson Kundig.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Assist with team travel coordination.
  • Meeting coordination and documentation - reservations & set-up, as needed. Attend meetings, if necessary, for taking minutes and documenting other information.
  • Special duties and projects, as assigned or necessary including coverage of other coordinators and front desk reception.
  • Project Close-Out tasks include dead filing and punch lists.
  • Construction Documentation/Administration Phases tasks include file sharing, print coordination, logging RFIs & submittals, QA/QC documents stamping and coordination.
  • Managing workload – prioritizing work and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Project Start-Up tasks including contracts, proposal letters, work authorizations, creation and/or maintenance of project directories, cloud-based file sharing sites, opening project and sub-project numbers.
  • Coordinate with vendors, project team and clients to organize project documents and drawings.


Requirements:


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • General understanding of building materials and methods
  • General understanding of state and federal codes as it applies to construction and design
  • Ability to manage and delegate a multitude of tasks, assignments and changing priorities efficiently
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Plan Grid and Box
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with ERP software such as Deltek
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly MS Word and MS Excel


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field or background in construction or related fields.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience at an architecture or construction firm.


Nice to have


  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketchup a plus, but not required.

As a firm, we are committed to pay practices that are fair, competitive, and reflect internal pay equity. At the time of posting this job, the hiring range for this position in Seattle is between $70,000 and $74,000 annually. Final salary decisions are made based upon the extent and relatedness of the candidate’s education and experience and considering internal equity and external market factors.
