Project Accountant Jobs

CLEAT is searching for a Construction, Development & Design Accountant to assist the executive team in all construction, development, and design accounting.
The ideal candidate has accounting experience in the construction, development and or design industry and is eager to learn and expand their skills. They must be disciplined and self-driven, as this position will be primarily from a remote location. We require an individual that can focus on the tasks and activities given to them and remain consistently focused, while also anticipating future tasks and planning accordingly. This individual should also be flexible to learn and embrace new technologies that are vital parts of our operations. Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable with client and vendor interaction on a regular basis.
The position will report directly to the President of the company, while also aiding our CEO and Operations Team.
CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
Associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting, or similar business degree
Minimum of 2-years prior experience as accountant or bookkeeper
Construction, Development and or Design accounting experience is highly beneficial
Proficient in job costing, A/P and A/R
Ability to solve problems, multi-task and react quickly to provide solutions
Ability to communicate effectively
Self-motivation / self-direction
Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail required
TECHNICAL SKILLS
QuickBooks or other job costing software required
Construction, Development and or Design accounting experience is highly beneficial
Procore or other project management software experience is highly beneficial
Highly proficient Microsoft Excel
AIA payment documents especially G702 / G703 requisitions and lien waivers
Proficient in Microsoft Office to assist in all Project Management efforts
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Reports directly to the President. Works with the CEO, President, Accounting Team & Project Managers
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to):
Initiate and organize Procore jobs with President and Project Managers (PMs)
Work closely with Project Managers to prepare monthly AIA G702 / G703 billings to clients
Perform day to day financial transactions, including classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data to verify entries and comparing system reports to balances
Reconcile A/P Aging reports against Vendor Statements, including corresponding with vendors and responding to inquiries concerning payment, invoice issues and credits
Assist Project Management and Business Development Team with bid procurement and follow-up
Assist Project Managers to estimate and adhere to proper budgets, create project schedules, and communicate project updates
Manage Cost of Goods Sold (“COGS”) financial process - prepare invoices, subcontracts, change orders, work orders and purchase orders.
Assemble project closeout packages, including maintenance agreements, equipment information, warranties, and subcontractor contact information
Assist in contract preparation and administration
