We are looking for an individual to provide specialized Information Technology support for our strategic business partners within the client Corporate Center.

Duties: A day in the life...

• Constantly strives to exceed goals, requirements, previous accomplishments, and expectations
• Understand the Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts, analyze and investigate unusual trends and activities.
• Accurately record transactions into the general ledger
• Support internal and external audit efforts to ensure compliance
• Assist with the unclaimed property reporting process
• Under general supervision, responsible for moderately complex accounting activities relating to prepaid expenses, inter-company, various accruals, and cash.
• Accurately reconcile accounts, summarize activity, and resolve reconciling differences appropriately.
• Contribute to month-end/quarter-end/year-end close process to ensure timely, accurate financial data that is in compliance with GAAP and accounting policies
• Perform accounting and control procedures related to moderately complex balance sheet accounts.
• Assist the team with ad-hoc projects as directed
• Able to effectively contribute to the decision-making process
• Process unclaimed property

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• BS/BA in Accounting
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience

Skills: Desired Skills and Experience:

• Public accounting experience
• Experience with Essbase Excel Add-in
• Experience with Cognos Planning
• Experience with prepaid and intercompany accounting
• Experience with Oracle General Ledger and Discoverer
• Experience with Chesapeake Total Reconciliation System
• Previous Corporate Accounting experience
