TômTex is seeking a Manufacturing Program Manager to support the R&D and Operations teams. The candidate will work cross-functionally with individuals and departments such as Research & Development, Quality, Process Development, and Product Management. The role will require the candidate to learn and understand the TômTex process and support the team in managing R&D projects effectively. The ultimate goal will be to support delivery of a product that consistently meets customer specifications.
The ideal candidate will have an aptitude in a scientific discipline, critical thinking and organizational frameworks and processes. The ability to consolidate, distill, and communicate data, as well as the ability to synthesize actions from results is highly desired. The individual will be expected to work in a deliverable based atmosphere with operations metrics used to assess project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project management efforts for the R&D team including meeting facilitation, agenda development, meeting minutes documentation, action item tracking, and scheduling follow-up meetings
- Partner with department heads to set and monitor strategy/team goals
- Work with external contract organizations and establish project plans to drive the delivery of project milestones to meet budget and timelines
- Facilitate cross-functional project planning across departments to align dependencies, schedules, budgets and delivery commitments
- Proactively identify potential risks, resource constraints, and conflicts that could impact project timelines; collaborate with the team to develop appropriate solutions
- Gain thorough understanding of the product, process, customer specifications and identify gaps using business needs to drive priorities
- Prepare routine project status updates via formal and informal channels (monthly reports, project retrospectives, ad hoc reports/presentations)
Requirements:
- Proven track record in leading large technical projects and building collaborations between teams with different expertise
- 3+ years working in project/program management
- BS or MS in Chemistry, Biotech, Biology, Mycology, or scientific discipline preferred OR having experience in the production of textile manufactures.
- Exceptional data and file organization, spreadsheet/task management skills (Google Suite), and ability to work with PM software (Notion), Slack, and cloud storage systems
- Strong people management and communication skills are required
The salary range for this full-time position is $65,000-$80,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
