About The Role


Nisolo is growing rapidly, and we plan to scale our Production team to meet the growing demands of our business. As a Production Manager, you will play a critical role in the production process, from commercialization through production delivery. In this role, your primary focus will be managing and coordinating the production of footwear and accessories, ensuring all product is produced to specification and delivered on time. You will be responsible for production placement and tracking, working closely with internal cross-functional teams and external suppliers to meet our deliverables. The right candidate will demonstrate extreme attention to detail, analytical thinking, and eagerness to iterate on and implement new processes. This position will be based in NYC and will report to the Director of Production.

Responsibilities


Preproduction


  • Direct suppliers on production corrections, standards, and transfer accurate production spec sheets for production.
  • Collaborate with Design and Product Development to review and outline product corrections, set product standards, and finalize production spec sheets.
  • Consistently follow up with suppliers to ensure product expectations and standards are met.
  • Track preproduction sample deadline and approvals, aligning footwear production with commercialization goals that support product launch deadlines.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss pricing and allocation strategies based on production capabilities and timelines.
  • Review preproduction samples against product standards and provide suppliers with detailed feedback.


Production


  • Monitor production timelines detailed in factory WIP report, troubleshoot any delays or issues that may arise during the production process and work with suppliers to problem solve and create solutions.
  • Manage relationships with footwear manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring they meet the company's quality and ethical standards.
  • Oversee factory and supplier timing of invoice submission, review invoices for accuracy, enter invoices into a tracking system, and pass invoices to Product Director for approval.
  • Support raw material purchases and safety stock liability management.
  • Translate OTB (open to buy) directed by the planning team into official purchase orders and submit to factory based on an accurate and timely basis. Collaborate with the factory base to ensure po's are received and x-factory dates confirmed.
  • Track and report on safety stock positions.
  • Oversee system maintenance, ensuring production x-dates, order totals, approved method of transit, and inbound freight status are accurate.
  • Participate in price negotiations to optimize costs while maintaining product quality and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Create Master production reports for cross-functional teams that build transparency into production status.


Team management


  • Lead and motivate the footwear production assistant, providing guidance and support to achieve production goals and targets.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and innovation.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs to enhance direct report capabilities and efficiency.


Skills & Qualifications:


  • Proficient working in Google Suite, MS Suite. Ability to analyze information using pivot tables and vlook up.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a very fast-paced environment that requires continual multi-tasking and prioritization
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address production challenges and implement process improvements.
  • Proven experience in footwear production management, with a strong understanding of the production process, materials, and industry trends.
  • 4+ years of production experience in footwear or accessories, working for an in-house brand, at a high-growth company
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, vendor sourcing, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in product commercialization and building production schedules that tie into product launch deadlines.


Compensation: Based on previous experience and expertise.
