Description


The Program Manager II for the Center for OncoGenomics and Innovative Therapeutics (COGIT) will work closely with our team of scientists and researchers to drive impactful research projects and contribute to the advancement of precision medicine for cancer patients.


Responsibilities


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the executive team, handling incoming emails, and inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
  • Coordinate and organize meetings, conferences, and seminars, including logistics, agendas, and materials preparation.
  • Support the Director in daily organization and data acquisition, storage, and analysis, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Manage the complex and ever-changing calendars of senior executives, scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Mentor a team of junior scientists, research associates, and lab technicians, providing guidance and support as needed (i.e. Ensure good laboratory practices).
  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators (PIs) and Lead Scientists to develop research strategies and establish key milestones.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other documents as required, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Maintain and update databases, files, and records, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility of information.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
  • Oversee laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, procurement of supplies, and implementation of safety protocols.
  • Support and Coordinate different research programs, ensuring adherence to project timelines, deliverables, and budget constraints.
  • Foster collaboration and communication among team members, facilitating effective knowledge sharing and cross-functional coordination.


Qualifications


  • 7+ years of experience
  • Proven experience in program management and/or lab management.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor a diverse team of scientists and researchers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or greater preferred, or combination of applicable experience and education
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or personal assistant in a research or healthcare environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Compensation


The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $55450.51 - $131127.18 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
