As a Professional Development Specialist, you would contribute to the organizational, team, and individual performance and effectiveness using action research, experiential learning, and behavioral science techniques. This position focuses on areas such as talent development, performance coaching and consulting, organizational design and effectiveness, employee engagement, employee retention, employee experience, HR systems and processes, and change management system-wide.
The Professional Development Specialist, as an Organizational Development consultant, contributes to the organizational, team, and individual performance and effectiveness using action research, experiential learning, and behavioral science techniques. This position focuses on areas such as talent development, performance coaching and consulting, organizational design and effectiveness, employee engagement, employee retention, employee experience, HR systems and processes, and change management system-wide. The Professional Development Specialist consults with key stakeholders to solve the needs of the system through the design and delivery of Organizational Development programs, processes, and initiatives. Responsible for exhibiting a high degree of influence without authority.
Working Hours: 7 AM - 5 PM (Monday - Friday)
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Designs and administers assessment instruments.
- Interprets data collected using advanced analytics to distill themes and key insights.
- Recommends organizational development solutions(e.g., HR systems and processes, talent development, employee experience, engagement and retention, organization design and effectiveness)
- Designs, implements, and evaluates structured organizational development programs (e.g., HR systems and processes, talent development, employee experience, engagement and retention, organization design and effectiveness) in alignment with system needs and strategy, and measures and reports program effectiveness.
- Provides coaching and consulting services to individuals, teams, and the organization.
- Leverages change management expertise to assist leaders in implementing change.
- Communicates availability of OD strategies, programs, initiatives, and tools to leaders.
REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor's degree required in management, education, or health-related field from an accredited college or university
2. Experience in project management, program design, implementation, assessment, and outcomes.
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills; skills and experience in coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, mediation, course design.
Technical Competencies:
- Evaluation Process - monitoring and measuring success of learning and change initiatives. -
- Business Knowledge - knowledge of fiscal and strategic policies needed for health system to succeed.
- Model Building Process - identifying the performance criteria and competencies required to achieve specific business goals.
- Analysis Process - obtaining, synthesizing and reporting data.
- Facilitation Process - managing group process to ensure that the objectives of the group are achieved.
- Project Management process - coordination of multiple factors to produce a desired outcome in the time and scope required.
- Change Management Process - guiding others to identify and take required actions in support of a performance change initiative.
- Relationship Building Process - establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with networks across a broad range of people and groups.
PREFERRED:
1. Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, Counseling or closely related field preferred.
2. Previous experience with a LMS. Knowledge and skill in the use and application of database management, MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel or equivalent.
3. Current Georgia licensure in a health profession preferred
