How is Salto North America organized?


At SALTO NA, our team is structured into two types of working groups: Areas and Core Services. Areas are geographically focused and consist of a collection of Regions, which in turn include a collection of Territories. The purpose of Areas is to exceed customer expectations by leveraging personal knowledge and understanding of our clients and partners. We empower Areas to anticipate and proactively act in the best interests of our clients, fostering local activities that are driven by insight and understanding.


Areas work in tandem with our NA Core Services Team, which serves as the foundation for their operations. The Core Services team provides resources, programs, and services to both the Areas and their clients across the United States and Canada. It encompasses consolidated administrative, HR, Learning & Development, and accounting functions, as well as Sales program management and Marketing. Additionally, the Core Services Operations team includes Logistics, Technical Services, and Product Management.


To efficiently manage our work, we employ a four-layered approach. At the base is the production layer, which is overseen by the ensuring production layer. These layers are organized by the process & systems layer, and ultimately coordinated and prioritized by the strategy & integration layer. Each layer requires specific skills and attributes, and we actively encourage cross-training and lateral movement to foster skill development. What is a Learning and Development Coordinator:


A Learning and Development Coordinator works within our Core Services team. They are a professional responsible for the coordination and administration of a range of learning and development activities and projects according to the needs of the organization. The Learning and Development Coordinator also helps to maintain robust learning and development systems and processes that will include: corporate induction and training administration. The role holder will be the first point of contact for learning and development queries and will be responsible for all related administration, ensuring a get it right first time ethos is adopted.


The main responsibility of a Learning and Development Coordinator is to communicate with stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of learning programs. This involves communicating with managers to identify training needs and helping to map out development plans for teams and individuals across the organization as well as external partners and users.

Responsibility Snapshot of a Learning and Development Coordinator:


Some of the typical duties of a Learning and Development Coordinator may include:


  • Maintains registration for Instructor-led workshops and online training sessions.
  • Facilitates client kickoff meetings to understand and exceed client expectations.
  • Coordinates and executes high-impact training programs that utilize the appropriate training modalities.
  • Conducts Training Needs Analysis to identify training opportunities.
  • Maintains registration/attendance records of learners in order to prepare reports and/ or case studies on training programs effectiveness.
  • Manages SALTOs Learning Management System (LMS) - data input and reporting - handling queries.
  • Performs related duties as required.
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative professional relationships with departmental personnel, including management, in order to plan training sessions.

  • Respond to 100% LMS cases within 2 business days.
  • Initiate one course improvement each week.
  • Ensuring 90% participation rate for in-person workshops.


Recurring Commitments:


Some of the recurring responsibilities of a Learning and Development Coordinator include but are not limited to:


  • Domestic and International Travel: Periodic travel between Salto offices throughout North America to foster employee engagement and connection as well as to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Learning & Development: Monthly completion of assigned TalentLMS courses to include passing grade on completion examinations.
  • Monthly Review of Courses and Course Evaluations: Examine online and instructor-led courses, as well as course evaluations, to determine the strengths and limitations of courses and instruction.
  • Periodic Facilitation of Professional Development Sessions: Plan and facilitate professional development sessions such as train the trainer initiatives, soft skills training, mentoring sessions, etc.
  • Weekly administration of In-person Partner Training: Serve as the point of contact for learners and trainers for SALTO’s weekly in-person Partner workshops.
  • Supervisor 1-2-1 Meetings: Participate in one-on-one meetings to receive and give feedback, review and set goals, discuss career development and problem solve. Meetings are held at the necessary cadence based on individual and company needs as determined between you and your supervisor.
  • Departmental Meetings: biweekly departmental meeting participation to review results and align best practices as facilitated by your supervisor.
  • Office Participation: Comply with office attendance requirements as outlined by your supervisor in support of SALTO’s growth and development efforts and strategy.
  • Monthly Company Town Halls: The Salto NA Team comes together monthly to discuss and review current topics to include YTD and period financial performance, trends and initiatives across multiple departments and industry segments. We celebrate wins, spotlight individual acts and openly discuss challenges.
  • Daily LMS Administration: Serve as tier 1 support for LMS inquiries are timely solved, including LMS configuration, reporting analytics, certifications, integrations and user support.
