Job Description
What to Expect
As a Production Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the daily production operations of the lithium refinery on a rotating shift schedule. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work closely with the operations team to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the refinery. Candidates must have a passion for employee development and enjoy the process of training and developing both new hires and veteran production staff.
What You’ll Do
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses as required
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production operations
  • Lead a team of operators in the safe and efficient operation of the lithium refinery, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Train and mentor operators on safe and effective operating practices
  • Execute on priorities and production plans provided by operations management
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce costs
  • Ensure that all production data is accurately recorded and reported
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and improve productivity
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
  • Oversee the production schedule and ensure that production targets are met
What You’ll Bring
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as required
  • High School Diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of process control systems, process safety management, and environmental regulations
  • Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficient with MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a chemical or refinery operation
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
