Overview

Product Managers in Data & Services at Mastercard

• Translate a deep understanding of our customers into products and solutions that drive significant customer value
• Act as connectors to ensure the commercial success of our products by working with Sales and Marketing while ensuring technical success through close partnership with Technology teams
• Build revolutionary products that advance how businesses all over the world derive the most value from their data assets
• Balance the long-term direction of a product with today’s needs and constraints by fully understanding the technical, competitive, and commercial contexts of our products
• Set product direction with coordination, not isolation—taking into account how our products all work together to serve customer needs
• Drive globally-relevant solutions by understanding regional needs and tradeoffs, and build scalable products that serve an array of customer segments

Role

• Prioritize feature development as they align against product strategy
• Work with UX designers, developers and technology teams (internal, external) to define business requirements, technical capabilities and customer experiences, and oversee the development of features in the product roadmap
• Support and participate in post-launch reviews, track usage data, and ensure feedback is incorporated into the feature roadmap
• Mentor, develop, and foster the skills of junior product managers
• Partner with commercially-focused teams to set a product vision and to ensure consistent alignment between business priorities and development objectives
• Lead efforts to shape product management process and foster an agile, user-focused, product-led culture
• Participate in defining and executing user research to deepen understanding of customers’ needs, motivations, and pain points
• Design platform product concepts, conduct user testing and define/iterate product feature roadmap
• Define product usage metrics, and work with development teams to develop reports to monitor them
• Identify issues, risks and dependencies that will keep the product development activities from delivering on time and/or with the desired requirements, and communicate to leadership
• Build strong working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to achieve product goals

All About You

• Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant experience
• Strong focus on delivering user and business value
• Technical background (e.g. Computer Science or related field) a plus
• Agile product management experience in data products or business intelligence solutions for payments or a related financial services sectors preferred
• Analytical, solutions-oriented skillset with the ability to drive thought leadership
• Proven track record collaborating in cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding products
• Advanced degree a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interface with sr. leadership
• Knowledge and skills using product management tools (e.g. market and product plans, project timelines, business case development)
• Highly organized and able to deal with multiple and competing priorities
