Job Description
We are seeking a product manager to join our expanding team and support the vision for Identity and Access Management at JPMC. Our team is responsible for the PKI infrastructure that is foundational for the firm's on-prem and cloud-hosted applications.


As a Product Manager on the Digital Certificates team you will have end to end accountability for your product, from deep understanding of the user's challenges, to delivering value to the end users, to development of strategy, roadmaps, service lifecycle including user adoption. It will be your responsibility to gather, prioritize, refine and deliver features for the product. One of the most exciting projects on the horizon is the delivery of our strategic solution for certificate lifecycle management. You are expected to have subject matter expertise in PKI, with broad exposure to all areas of product management - including demand management, business management, stakeholder management, roadmap development, communications, and user experience. It will be beneficial to have strong technical experience in infrastructure management/engineering. You will be required to have strong leadership, communication & managerial skills with the ability to influence other stakeholders.


Job Responsibilities


  • Update stakeholders with timely progress reports, highlighting successes and delivery risks (and mitigation strategies identified)
  • Be data-centric and detail-orientated.
  • Prioritize issues and business as usual work alongside project deliverables
  • Cultivate trust through personal and team relationships with a range of Product, Engineering, Risk Management and Design teams and firm-wide customers
  • Support the Team Leads in promoting a culture of ownership, responsibility, and quality
  • Curious about our customers challenges, developing effective solutions to address the most impactful problems and managing their expectations. Should have a flexible style for different audiences from engineers to CTOs.
  • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to ensure that work is prioritized appropriately to meet business objectives including managing competing priorities of customers
  • Organize work estimates at various levels of granularity to set delivery expectations appropriately and allow informed prioritization
  • Manage all team risk and security requirements, escalating where there are gaps and delivering tactical and strategic remediation plans
  • Make the digital certificate management processes transparent and secure for engineers in a commercially responsible manner.
  • Operates in a customer centric mode & leverage risk methodologies to translate the needs of the business and its customers into feature-level requirements in product backlogs
  • Deliver process improvement through constant review both internally and with partners
  • Advocate for a learning culture to experiment and fail fast.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills


  • Ability to resolve conflict with a proven ability to facilitate and/or make complex decisions based on experience, analysis and judgment.
  • Strong influence and negotiating skills, and the ability to overcome barriers and resistance to execute against strategic plans
  • Ability to provide program and project leadership across multiple teams to illustrate strategy is reducing risk and meets the needs of our customers. Partner with other product leads, architects, and engineers to reduce risk
  • Operational, technical or product management experience in PKI for Identity & Access Management (IAM).
  • Experience with planning, leading and executing organizational change effectively and consistently to achieve desired business objectives
  • Experience producing product artifacts, including use cases, product requirements, user journeys, high-level wire frames, roadmaps, product overviews
  • 10+ years' experience as a Technical Product Owner/Manager or Delivery Manager and 5+ years' experience in PKI technology.
  • Experience working both independently and in a virtual, collaborative environment is essential. Comfortable working in a matrix management model with stakeholders and virtual teams across global locations. Ability to forge strong relationships and build a wide network throughout the firm.
  • Ability to develop and analyze product architecture
  • Experience working in agile environment, and driving continuous improvement. Background and knowledge with industry trends / best practices to develop governance frameworks, guiding principles, and detailed design of organizational constructs

  • Ability to analyze threat landscape and develop programs to enhance overarching product risk posture.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
