About the Role
The Director of Product Management is a senior leadership role responsible for leading a team of product managers in developing and executing product strategies to meet business goals. They work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to create product roadmaps, define product requirements, and prioritize features based on customer needs and market trends. The Director of Product Management is also responsible for monitoring and analyzing product performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement, and making data-driven decisions to optimize product success. Additionally, they are responsible for overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and ensuring that products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across the organization with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on business product decisions
- Provide insights in support of customer discussions and negotiations
- Build requirements to support product development with IT
- Identify end to end opportunities to improve products and customer experience
- Develop and execute product strategy to reach company goals
- Analyze market and industry trends to determine new product development and existing product enhancement requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- Problem-solving: Able to translate high-level goals into actionable plans, creative in coming up with insights & solutions.
- Entrepreneurship: Able to manage projects end-to-end from design to execution to impact, resourceful in gathering support required.
- Collaboration: Able to build collaborative working relationships with colleagues across functions and with C-level stakeholders.
- Mindset: Highly self-motivated, demonstrates maturity, possesses good judgment, biased towards action & results.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication, compelling presentation skills for senior executive audiences.
- Analytical skills: Proficient in reviewing analytics, drawing critical strategic insights from quantitative work.
- Work experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Go To Market campaign creative and sales enablement function in a B2B context, preferably in telecommunications/technology.
- Organizational management: Has a strong sense of urgency, comfortable leading multiple projects, consistently meets deadlines.
