Job Details

The procurement and logistics specialist will support the project team with vendor relationships and logistics partners

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Identify business needs

Develop procurement processes

Identify potential vendors and suppliers

Vendor Manager

Perform sourcing and negotiating with new and existing suppliers

Negotiate contracts with suppliers

Negotiate material and equipment quantities

Provide updates about procurement to stakeholders.

Input and process purchase orders

Track orders from quote to delivery

Coordinate task order proposal responses

Education, Skills And Experience

Able to communicate in English and Romanian is preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods and organizational management.

Experience with GovCon Purchase Order system is preferred (Unanet or Deltek preferred).

Knowledge of Contractor Purchasing System (CPSR) Guidebook from USA Government Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) highly preferred

Knowledge and understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense (DOD) and Department of State (DOS) regulations

Broad, Practical Experience In Government Procurement Or Contracting Preferred.

Construction contracting experience.

Contract negotiations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Lifting up to 100 pounds could occur on occasion. Lifting up to 40 pounds is common. Position will involve pushing or pulling dollies, walking frequently up and down stairs or up and down inclines with materials.

Knowledge of Incoterms and logistics processes (packing pallets, bills of lading, export documentation, hazardous material declarations, ITAR and EAR) strongly preferred.
