Process Mechanical Engineer
Reports to: VP of Operations
Staff of: Two Quality Inspectors

We manufacture and distribute premium pneumatic accessories for the automotive repair, military, industrial, agricultural and heavy duty fleet markets. With over 1,400 SKUs and long standing partnerships with industry leading customers, Milton is on a focused growth path to increase revenues significantly over the next three years.
Milton Industries is looking for a Process Mechanical Engineer that will be the Lead Engineer related to production of our product, and includes the below responsibilities;
Production Process
· This person will be the primary driver for improving production assembly workflow by identifying areas for improvement, developing and executing improvement plans
· Enhance floor plans and work cell layouts to improve production efficiencies
· Develop manufacturing methods and BOMs for new products
· Identifying, and developing justifications for Capital Investments to improve efficiencies and/or increase capacity
· This position will ensure production standards are appropriate, which will include performing time studies on various manufacturing processes
· Author and Implement SOPs (Standardized Operating Procedures) for manufacturing floor operations
· Review daily reports on line efficiency, scrap, and schedule performance
Manage Milton’s Product Specification Drawings Library
· Responsible to maintain and update all product drawings
· Requires ability to analyze and understand component and product drawings
· Utilize SolidWorks for designing and documenting automotive products, machine parts, and fixtures.
· Perform ECN changes to production drawings.
Quality Control –Develop quality control processes using internal and external sources
Maintaining Production Equipment
· Responsible to solve production equipment issues as they arise
· Develop a preventative maintenance program to minimize production equipment breakdowns
Other Attributes
· Employee must be able to effectively communicate with employees on the production floor, as well as non-manufacturing individuals at the Corporate level
· Bilingual (English & Spanish) is highly important
- Ability to work in an environment with high levels of accountability and the ability to manage projects to agreed upon deadlines
- Must be able to apply root cause analysis and problem solving tools, using data to support conclusions
- We are looking for a self-directed and experienced individual that can work with minimal supervision
- Proactive participation in cross-functional teams
- Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
· Hands on Engineer with natural mechanical aptitude
Requirements
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel & 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- BS Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Engineering Technology
- Experience with Pneumatic Tools is a plus
