Job Summary

Randstad is seeking talented mid level Mechanical Engineers to join our team and support a prominent client in the dynamic space industry. In this role, you will be responsible for taking on legacy drawings concerning parts and assemblies and assessing their compliance with current standards. Your expertise in Mechanical Engineering, ANSYS Fluent, NX Design, FEA, FEM, and stress analysis will be crucial as you evaluate designs for accuracy, employ tolerance stack-ups, and perform basic hand calculations to ensure the continued relevance of legacy designs in their current use cases.

Responsibilities

Job Duties

The Mechanical Engineer will be taking legacy drawings (mostly PDF and paper drawings) and converting them into NX CAD files. This will include scrutinizing designs for accuracy and best practices, analyzing tolerance stack-ups, and basic hand calculations to ensure legacy designs still make sense in the current use case.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience using NX CAD
• Tolerance stack-ups and GD&T

Desired Skills & Experience -

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Finite Element Method (FEM), and stress analysis
• Exposure to NASA standards 5020, 5019, 5017, 5016
• Experience with CREO
• Space or aerospace experience
• Teamcenter experience
• Exposure to thermal analysis
• Experience with ANSY

Qualifications

• Experience level: Experienced
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Education: Bachelors

Skills
