Job Description
PSM Engineer/Chemical Engineer/Process Engineer/Production Engineer/Chemicals
Our client is a chemical manufacturer in the Chicago area. They are looking for a Process Safety Engineer.
As a Process Safety Engineer, job responsibilities include the following:
  • Responsible for oversight of the site PSM programs and initiatives
  • Lead Process Hazard Analyses as needed
  • Evaluate Process Safety incidents and provide corrective measures as needed
  • Create, implement, and maintain all Process Safety Knowledge, Management and Audit Programs/Systems
  • Be the site PSM expert and help implement PSM initiatives and advise engineering departments accordingly
  • Support compliance of all company, local, and state process safety regulations

As a Process Safety Engineer, Job Requirements Consist Of
  • BS in Engineering, ChemE is strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as a Process/Production Engineer in chemical manufacturing plant
  • Experience with all 14 elements of PSM a plus
  • Must have experience in a PSM regulated facility
