The Role
You will work on the HW security verification of our next generation cloud-native server class SoCs. You'll be involved with all aspects of pre-silicon verification to ensure our designs meet product security architecture goals. You'll partner with other teams to validate HW security capabilities on silicon to ensure the product is ready to ship to customers.

Design Verification is an integral part of the chip design process that ensures our customers get the absolute highest quality products. The DV Team at Ampere comprises of stellar folks who have dedicated themselves to the art and fun of design verification. We are a tightly-knit, fast-paced team who work extremely closely with our design and architecture partners to ensure no bug is left undetected.
What you'll do:
- Drive all execution activities related to the SoC security verification plan to ensure tapeout quality goals are met.
- Review HW security architecture and microarchitecture specifications and influence product scope/decisions
- Work closely with other teams to verify/validate security HW and FW/SW interactions in pre-silicon and post-silicon.
- Architect and develop verification collateral including test content, checkers to exhaustively verify HW security design components.
- Mentor/guide the work of junior engineers to achieve project goals.
- Define design verification strategy and detailed test plans to verify/validate SoC security architecture.
What you must bring to the table:
- 3+ years of experience in HW security verification.
- Solid understanding of processor core architecture and OS, SW interactions
- Experience in emulation, FPGA and post-silicon validation is a plus.
- Knowledge of ARM or x86 security architecture concepts
- Ability to define verification techniques to identify and expose security vulnerabilities in the product.
- Skilled in industry standard HDL languages (System Verilog, Verilog, HDL), simulation tools and UVM/OVM
- Knowledge of client or server SoC architecture
- Programming experience in ARM/x86 assembly and C/C++ or other high-level language
- Strong verification mindset and excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Minimum 8 years of HW verification experience

Pay and Benefits
Ampere offers a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus, stock, and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $129,000 and $215,000, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $143,000 and $238,000. We also offer an annual bonus program tied to internal company goals and annual meritocratic stock awards that enable our employees to participate in the success of the company.
