Requirement:
  • Designs, develops, modifies, evaluates and implements new and existing RF/Microwave passive and active components such as PA, LNA, PLL, etc. And support project team lead responsibilities.
  • Maximize use of load-pull characterization system.
  • Design, assemble and test high frequency PCB boards that monitor the performance of various microwave components and will analyze test results.
  • Perform research and development activities on various new microwave, and signal modulation concepts being pursued at the electromagnetics team.
  • Work in both transceiver/receiver system and RF power combining environments, as well as technology development. Will perform the design, fabrication, assembly and test of advanced RF electronics and communication systems.
  • Work with other system engineers to develop subsystem requirements, conduct system design trades and develop detailed specifications. Will perform PCB board layout for both lumped-element and distributed RF circuits, using the latest microwave CAD tools.
  • Coordinate and communicate with cross functional teams to define and create specifications for all RF components and signal modulation blocks based on the overall system requirements, including all digital microprocessor control block and analog/digital interfaces.
  • Lead bench evaluation and ATE level characterization of the RF transceiver, analog/mixed-signal functional blocks and IO's and validation of the RF functionality and performance of the SoC.
  • Develop test methodology and verification plans for all analog functional blocks, including development of all test interfaces and documentation of all test modes. Programming RF lab test equipment to test RF performance parameters such as IP3, P1dB, P7dB, 2-tone test, NF, SNR, Phase Noise, Distortion, etc.
  • Meet with vendors and technology suppliers to select components.
  • Characterize and debug RF/Microwave EMI issues to meet requirements.
  • Perform simulations for RF/Microwave circuit design and power combiner design (3D EM and circuit level simulations).
  • Take the product through development, compliance testing, operator testing, ramp up and sustaining.
