We are looking for a Validation Engineer in the Datacenter Systems Engineering team. You'll work closely with board designers, Silicon Solutions and AE teams to validate and characterize system's power management controllers of NVIDIA's datacenter modules. The ideal candidates are self motivated, very comfortable in a lab environment and demonstrate a passion towards product system level validation. They should have strong understanding of control systems theory and PID tuning methods. They must be capable of growing in fast paced environment with evolving product definitions.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve validation speed and efficiency
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to debug and resolve any HW/SW product issues.
  • Electrical and functional validation of power sensors and power management controls.
  • Complete validation plans for GPU and CPU modules, and other peripheral cards that get integrated into NVIDIA's datacenter products.
  • Optimize PID control parameters to achieve system's peak power performance and response.
  • Develop test plans for new features and improve existing plans.

What we need to see:
  • BSEE/BSCE or equivalent experience
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Deep understanding of power management techniques, power supply noise and tools for data analysis and statistics.
  • Deep knowledge of PID controllers and tuning methods.
  • Hands-on lab experience with board bringup, lab debug and lab tools (Logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters).
  • 3+ years of hands-on hardware/software debug experience.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Experience with BMC, server management processors.
  • Experience with system power management validation of CPU/GPU products
  • DC/DC voltage regulator validation experience
The base salary range is $104,000 - $195,500. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
