Job Description

This Company was established in 1970 and is private equity owned. Currently has a healthy cash flow position along with strong financial backing. Through a re-invigorated sales and marketing program, the Company is experiencing an ever-expanding pipeline and is landing new jobs at a rapid rate with increasing margins.


As a result, the management team and its board of directors are now seeking to take the Company into a new phase of growth and increased profitability and is looking for its next President.


We are searching for someone who is not only a visionary leader that can set strategic initiatives in motion, but also someone with sound sales and engineering capability to facilitate the sale execution with highly technical products and solutions.


The person will have the support and collaboration of the highly engaged Company team, including highly motivated managers, shareholders, and board of directors. The chosen individual will play a critical role in the plan to sustainably double or triple Company revenues over the next few years.


Our ideal General Manager/President Designate will have the below responsibilities:

· Leverage existing contacts to win new and repeat business.

· Manage the timelines and budgets to ultimately deliver profitable projects.

· Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

· Liaise with the board of directors, management, engineering staff and subcontractors to discuss project specifications and procedures.

· Recruit employees and assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.

· Review and approve contracts and cost estimates.

· Present and explain beneficial insights, proposals, reports, and findings to clients.

· Build a culture of social selling and collaborate with the sales department on the advancement of digital marketing.

· Monthly/Quarterly reporting to the Board of Directors.

· Prepare budgets, reports and strategic plans for management and the Board of Directors.

· Grow the business’ enterprise value and provide a satisfactory shareholder return whilst making a difference to society and the people around you. This can be incredibly satisfying and outstanding performance within the company and the bonus structure is designed to reward accordingly.

  • Proven experience within a sales role/Business Development role
  • Qualified engineer with a recognized professional qualification.
  • Strong understanding of the Bulk Materials Handling sector
