Controller - General Manager

G. Peterson Consulting Group, Inc. is a 28 year established Executive Recruiting firm based in Cottonwood Heights, specializing in placing mid to upper level management personnel to the construction industry.

We seek a Controller/General Manager with 10+ years experience for immediate hire to manage the office and financial affairs of our busy firm consisting of a working President, 16 commissioned recruiters and 3 support coordinators. A four year financial/accounting degree is preferred. Must be computer literate, have a working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Excel, and Microsoft Office, and other cloud based accounting apps.

Ability to work independently yet in a fast paced team environment, has strong people skills, have strong self starter skills, and the desire to work for one of construction's leading boutique executive recruiting firms. This position will manage the firm alongside the President as the company continues to grow.

We will want this Controller to learn our entire recruiting process and the 3rd party support services that we utilize. This position can evolve into a CFO/VP position.

Compensation

• Comprehensive benefits package (med, dental, vision) 100% paid by employer, 50% for dependents
• Quarterly bonus
• 401k with a 3.5% match
• Two weeks vacation, five sick days, eight paid holidays
• $90-120k DOE

Responsibilities

1.Perform all corporate and personal accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

2. Provide HR oversight for existing and planned future employees including benefits management.

3. Monthly financials

4. All banking functions

5. All corporate IT functions

6. Management of outside payroll service complete with floating commission structures

7. Assisting to manage this firm into projected growth over the next 5 years.

8 Learn our operations use of CRM database, and 3rd party support services such as Indeed, Linkedin, Zoominfo, Zoho

Qualifications

1. 5-7+ years experience in an accounting, 2-4+ years as a controller, 2-4+ years in a management position

2. Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Excel

3. Knowledge of AR, AP, Financials, Payroll with floating commission structures, Benefits, IT, Database Oversight, Taxes, and HR functions.
