President Real Estate – Krause+

Do you work in a real estate development company and have P/L experience? Have you worked with commercial, mixed-use, and residential properties in a growing mid-size city like Portland, Austin, or Nashville? Do you enjoy creating a vision and business plans to help a business continue its growth? We are looking for someone with passion for sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) to lead our Real Estate company with an expanding portfolio in Des Moines, IA.

What you’ll do as the President of Krause +

• Define targeted mixed-use tenants for projects and achieve occupancy targets
• Build sustainability and corporate social responsibility into the business and all projects
• Manage a portfolio of assets
• Refine the business vision and develop short and long-term business plans to deploy new capital
• Take leadership of a variety of real estate development projects in Des Moines, IA
• Provide leadership to the Krause+ Real Estate team
• Manage the development of a professional soccer stadium and surrounding development
• Improve the business model for improving the performance of our Des Moines properties

What we’re looking for

• Experience creating vision and business plans for real estate development and management
• Superior leadership skills with proven ability to inspire, innovate, and grow a new business and team
• Experience in developing, evaluating, and managing mixed use real estate
• Relocation to Des Moines, IA area required (this is not a commuting or remote role)
• Outstanding business and financial analytics acumen
• Experience and passion for sustainability and building CSR into the fabric of our business
• Experience in mixed use real estate in medium sized U.S. cities like Portland, Austin, or Nashville
