JobSummary: The Financial Controls Analyst works with the Real Estate, Construction & Finance teams and oversees the billing and payments of store development capital expenditure costs, against the new store and major project capital expenditure budgets. This person is responsible for processing invoices, managing vendors (with respect to payments) and budget analysis. The Analyst will also be responsible for the coordination, the invoicing and the collection of Tenant Allowances for both new and existing stores.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in the office.
This is a hybrid role with some days each week in our Westbury, NY office.
An employee in this position can expect an annual starting rate between $60,000 and $65,000.
- Coordinate & Prepare CSE Documentation For Approval
o Obtain major project “narrative” from Store Ops partner
o Obtain proforma financial P&L from finance partner
o Obtain detailed capex budget from Construction
o Finalize CSE document package for approval
o Maintain competed/approved documentation support for all submissions
- Invoice Processing
o Process all invoices within invoice terms
o Check invoices against budget, looking for over-spend issues
- New Store & Major Project Budget Review
o For stores/projects approaching/exceeding approved budget levels, prepare package for review/approval
o Review with VP, Store Development and Controller for submission and approval
o Maintain competed/approved documentation support for all submissions
- Manage the Tenant Allowance Invoicing & Collection Process
o Maintain accurate accounting (partner with finance) of outstanding Tenant Allowances
o Follow up timely with landlords when collection of Tenant Allowance is in arrears
o Process all Tenant Allowance payments, coding them accurately
- Strong active listening and conflict resolution skills
- College diploma plus 2 -3 years’ related experience required
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
- Team player
- Strong customer service perspective and detail orientation
