POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss' Preconstruction Manager will assist in gathering information to be used to produce the project estimates. This role is responsible for planning, organizing and distributing of material takeoffs, subcontracts, basic trade and trade scope responsibilities during bids.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Recommend cost savings and limited trade
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain good business relationships with trade contractors and vendors
• Assemble estimates from quantity survey
• Responsible for generating, calculating and estimating the expected cost of construction of a given project
• Perform accurate quantity survey of materials from plans
• Distribute design documents to trade contractors
• Basic knowledge of constructability detail

Education And Work Experience

• Ability to read, interpret and analyze plans proficiently
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Civil Engineering or equivalent is required
• Knowledge of preconstruction and its practices
• Strong mathematical skills
• Ability to read specifications and understand the subject matter
• 5 + years of experience in estimating with a general contractor
• Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
