Must have 4+ years Merchandise Planning Experience in the Fashion Industry - No Exceptions
The Wholesale Planner will support the Senior Manager of Strategic Planning in merchandise planning and inventory management functions. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the intimate apparel industry, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute merchandise plans that align with the company's financial goals and objectives
2. Collaborate with the Sales team to understand customer demand and market trends, and adjust merchandise plans accordingly
3. Monitor inventory levels and work closely with production and sourcing teams to ensure that products are delivered on time and in the right quantities
4. Conduct analysis of sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for product growth and improve forecasting accuracy
5. Develop pricing strategies that are competitive and aligned with the company's financial goals
6. Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes and minimize inventory risks
7. Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment and identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in merchandise planning and inventory management, preferably in the wholesale apparel industry
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful insights
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot table, v-lookups, macros)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to develop and execute merchandise plans that drive business growth and profitability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks/projects
• Background in lingerie/intimates is a plus
