What To Expect
The Production Planner in Service Remanufacturing is responsible to act as the administrative control tower and ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time. This person will also create and maintain reports, report on KPIs and work to improve information flow between Service and Production. The ideal candidate possesses strong computer skills, and experience working in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The individual will work with Tesla Service, Production Planning, Logistics, and Remanufacturing worldwide. This position requires a person who understands manufacturing processes and material flow, has a strong grasp of the total automotive supply chain, and can successfully communicate cross-functionally.
What You’ll Do

• Identify gaps, risks and propose solutions to meet plans and schedules
• Collaborate with Service Channel Planning to reconcile Service Demand vs production capacity
• Act on unfillable orders by coordinating a supply solution with the responsible group
• Reconcile production availability vs. Service demand with responsible Planners to ensure supply
• Coordinate and execute high priority, time-critical and/or abnormal Service Part requests
• Provide transparency of operations through daily, weekly and monthly KPI management
• Manage and reconcile order data, and incorrect order routing with responsible parties
• Work directly with Production Planning (Factory and Reman) to ensure production schedules align
• Establish inventory controls and maintain packaging supply for a Service Part programs
• Support cross-functionally on material planning, demand planning and problem solving management
• Collaborate with Logistics on pick-up times, abnormalities and carrier improvements
• Ensure Service Parts availability to meet daily/weekly requirements from Service Centers
• Other duties as assigned
• Collaborate with Reman Conveyance and Direct Ship Team to ensure outbound priorities are met
• Act as window to Service Planning for reconciling demand and supply constraints

What You’ll Bring

• Self-starter with the ability to manage daily planning operations and assigned projects simultaneously
• Ability to problem solve within cross-functional and multi-cultural environment
• Ability to support extended hours, weekends and/or travel to affiliate locations when needed
• Analytical capabilities including data analysis to optimize production
• Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude
• 5+ years’ experience in Production Control Material/Demand Planning or Supply Chain Management
• Must have a valid driver’s license and must be insured
• Knowledge of WARP, MES, MTT and Dangerous Goods are valued assets
• Strong proficiency and proven experience in MS Excel is required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management or similar discipline
