Job Description

Our social enterprise supports women and non-binary technologists in technical fields, the organizations that employ them, and the academic institutions training the next generation. AnitaB.org is known for our Grace Hopper Celebration, and our various programs connecting, guiding and inspiring women and non-binary technologists.
We’re looking for a passionate and hardworking People & Culture Coordinator to join our small, but mighty team. In this role, you will assist the People & Culture team in maintaining HR compliance and policies, building and maintaining company culture, and assisting in the planning and execution of team projects and programs. If you're a creative person who enjoys solving problems, this is the role you've been looking for.
Here's what you'll do
  • Be a contributing member of the Team for brainstorming, organization projects & activities, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provide support to the People & Culture department, including assistance in recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, I-9 verification, and other People & Culture programs as needed.
  • Partner with People & Culture team members to create and launch employee surveys, analyzing the results and informing actions that help improve our culture.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Support AnitaB.org team members by managing our internal HR ticket system, either answering questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, and more, or assigning tickets to the appropriate team members as required.

  • Experience planning complex projects, executing plans, and delivering finished products on time.
  • Professionalism in team and external stakeholder interactions and communications, including honesty, integrity, respect, and commitment to advancing global, regional, and local DEI, in keeping with an organization with a mission to promote women and non-binary diversity, equity and inclusion in society and the workplace.
  • Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of employee information.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, and cooperativeness.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding/difficult situations.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a Human Resources or People & Culture role.
  • Passion for creating and contributing to a healthy work culture and world class employee experience.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across the organization.

The salary for this position is $60,000 plus competitive benefits, including health insurance and 403(b) discretionary match.
