The P&C Product Management Analyst monitors, analyzes, and interprets data for assigned property & casualty product(s) and state(s). Uses data analytics to identify complex loss and production trends and connect those trends to business results and product strategy. Contributes to recommendations to support the product strategy with a deliberate focus on profitability, competitiveness, and sales performance for assigned state(s).

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated P&C Product Management Analyst for one of our offices! This position is a hybrid work type and can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Chesapeake, VA, Charlotte, NC; Colorado Springs, CO or Tampa, FL. Hybrid roles help employees gain the best of both worlds – collaborating in-person in the office and working from home when needed to achieve focused results.

What You'll Do

• Develops recommendations related to pricing strategy, planning and forecasting, and policy/membership growth.
• Maintains and assists with developing product dashboards and reports in excel, Tableau, or other analysis tools to support the identification of key performance metrics in assigned state(s), region, or countrywide.
• Develops knowledge and builds expertise around current state laws and regulatory environments for assigned state(s).
• Compiles and analyzes complex internal and external data such as frequency and severity trends by segment, local market growth performance, and coverage level results, both ad-hoc and weekly/monthly as needed, in support of the monitoring and evaluation of state performance.
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
• Ensure risks associated with business activities are optimally identified, measured, supervised, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
• Responds to routine member inquiries elevated by Member Contact teams.
• Works with value chain partners to monitor results of actions implemented by the extended state team.
• Assists in the development of performance presentation briefing materials for business reviews with extended state team, leadership, and other stakeholders.

What You Have

• 2 years of relevant product or program management experience analyzing data and developing recommendations, or an advanced degree in Business.
• Developing knowledge of product related regulations, and risk and compliance requirements.
• Experience utilizing data to create briefings/ presentations.
• 1 year of P&C experience.
• Intermediate level skills using data querying tools and dashboards including excel, Tableau, or other analysis tools.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

What Sets You Apart

• Proven complex data analytical experience and the ability to demonstrate an aptitude for pulling data as well as analyze trends to make recommendations to leadership.
• Property & Casualty experience, particularly in one or more key functions (e.g., Product Management, Pricing, Underwriting, Finance, etc.).
• Demonstrated Bias for Action in an environment of ambiguity.
• Highly effective communication and salesmanship skills leverages to teach, mentor, and influence business improvement.
• Proficient knowledge of SAS, SQL, Tableau, or similar software.

What We Offer

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $78,670.00 - $150,330.00.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
