Essential Responsibilities
Description & Requirements
  • Run and check guaranteed hours report- and not posted/pick up report.
  • Manage the bidding system according to the labor agreement and ensure employees are moved to new positions within 90 calendar days.
  • Manage Day to day temporary workers (When off the schedule etc.)
  • Use reports to load information into overtime spreadsheets.
  • Design and implement spreadsheets and forms.
  • Participant of departmental or factory subcommittees.
  • Participant of factory and community events.
  • Workday recruiting and processing.
  • Approve all time card adjustments prior to pay close
  • Figure- track and input time card adjustments.
  • Participate/support KHMS and assist in the development of the system and operational standards and corrective actions.
  • Charge off labor changes and complete- save and file spreadsheets for return to vendor- rework- R&D testing.
  • This summarizes the general responsibilities of the job and is not to be considered a detailed description of every duty of the job.
  • Interpret union contract and factory rules and policies.
  • Input labor hours into manning hours database.
  • Input and check production labor codes for all departments.
  • Print and pass out timekeeper’s sheets- and next day’s sheets to supervisors for each department- per shift.
  • Run preliminary daily timecard reports and pass out to supervisors- and run final to close the day’s production.
  • Run and check pick up report.
  • Manage processing of temporary workers.
  • Development of best practices- implementation and auditing for continuous improvement.
  • Input daily manning changes from timekeeper sheets- timecard messages- and copy manning schedules.
  • Run and check absent employee report- invalid employee report- still clock in report- time report by employee by department for all shifts- clock in/clock out report.
  • Manage union and non-union attendance and issuing disciplines in a timely manner
  • Document and maintain files and documents.
  • Track- run- and file holiday pay.
  • Save clock in/out report- daily timecard report and weekly timecard report.
  • Monitor and manage floaters working a job for 30 calendar days and assign them a bid according to the labor agreement.
  • Track and input vacation pay- floating holiday pay- non-union sick pay- and bereavement pay.
  • Assists with weekly checkbook.
  • Assists with FMLA management in Sedgwick.
  • Sets priorities to adapt to the constant changing requirements of the factory.
  • Sets up and maintains training room facilities and equipment.
  • Close daily production for prior week- close for payroll- give total hours report to payroll.
  • Conducts orientation and tours as needed.
  • Track employee’s records.
  • Complete and file vacation request slips.
  • Interpret union contract and factory rules and policies.
  • Input employees from sign in sheet in Production office.
  • Must be flexible to work any shift.
  • Complete procedures for period end close.
  • Run GL interface report for Corporate
  • Ensures payroll payments are made in conformance with the Union contract.
Education And Experience
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team oriented fast-paced environment.
  • Associates degree in Accounting- Business or related experience preferred.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years in office administrative experience preferred.
Skills- Knowledge And Abilities
  • Must be well organized with excellent phone skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team oriented fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent computer skills with prominent knowledge of MS Office
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must have the ability to exercise considerable judgment and be able to identify and solve problems.
  • Demonstrate reliability and good work ethics- quality work performance- attention to detail is a must- and maintain a good working relationship with all other departments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all employees and our corporate partners
  • Excellent math and analytical skills
  • Willingness to grow with the organization.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to respond to questions from groups of managers and other employees
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal- and organizational skills and must be detail and process oriented.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include days- afternoons- midnights- and overtime
  • Incumbent must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of factory operation preferably in food
Physical/Mental Requirements
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually high- and ear protection is required.
  • Ability to work in all areas of the facility including hot and cold areas- and be exposed to wet and humid conditions.
  • Ability to use hands/arms to reach- handle- or feel objects- tools or controls.
  • Ability to stand- walk- sit- climb- balance- stoop- kneel- crouch and crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and or move up to 50 lbs or more.
  • Must have excellent vision- distant and peripheral- with the ability to identify and distinguish colors- and adjust focus.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word- Excel- E-Mail- PowerPoint- Workday- SRM and Kronos
  • Must be able to work all shifts and overtime including weekends when needed.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond respectfully to questions from all levels.
