Design and deliver packaging and marketing collateral and create product graphics for multiple brands that Fit for Life manages. We manage such brands as Gaiam, FILA, Adidas & New Balance. This role will be a crucial point designer for TJ-Maxx's business development.
The ideal candidate will have a background in beauty or fashion packaging and graphic design and can design exceptionally well within a brand guideline yet knows how to evolve package design and graphics when challenged.
Must be a team player and motivated self-starter who independently prioritizes projects and consistently meets deadlines. Projects include packaging refreshes, new category package design, packaging line extensions, packaging optimization, art production, and collateral work such as renderings, sell sheets, ads, and retail points of sale.
As we are a collaborative team working with physical goods, office time is required for this position. Please do not send resumes if you can only work remotely.
Essential Day-to-Day Function:
• Produce packaging designs for new products and line extensions for a variety of fitness categories.
• Capable of creating artwork at any stage, from concept ideation to final print.
• Complete packaging updates: updating artwork, routing for internal approvals, releasing artwork to printers, approving proofs, and updating internal on-pack and off-pack image libraries.
• Contribute to and support the development of on-pack and off-pack photography or illustrations utilized on package designs.
• Produce sales support deliverables related to packaging projects.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Maintain product image library: create, maintain, and share images of brand assets, packaging assets, and sales support deliverables.
• Ensure the package designs align with the brief and brand guidelines.
• Create retail POGs and in-store merchandising as needed.
• Assist the sales team with any creative request needed for buyer meetings.
Requirements:
• Portfolio link or PDF during submission
• Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in packaging graphic design or Consumer Packaging Design.
• Strong Knowledge of Adobe CC: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
• Knowledge of printing technologies and methodologies in packaging.
• Excellent upward communication, time management, and organization skills.
• Awareness of the latest design trends and when to apply them.
• Efficient and detail-oriented.
