Job Description

Job Title: Outreach Coordinator

About NexGen STEM:

NexGen STEM is a pioneering non-profit initiative aiming to enhance STEM education and accessibility. We're dedicated to shaping the next generation of innovators, scientists, and leaders by offering top-tier educational resources and programs.

Job Type: Volunteer; 5-10 hours a week


Responsibilities:

  1. Community Engagement: Build and nurture relationships within educational communities to promote STEM activities and resources.
  2. Resource Mobilization: Identify potential donors and sponsors, reach out to engage them in our mission, and secure vital funding for ongoing projects.
  3. Event Coordination: Lead outreach events, webinars, and workshops, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  4. Communication Strategy: Design and implement an effective communication strategy to boost our presence and ensure maximum engagement.
  5. Feedback Mechanism: Establish channels for feedback from students, educators, and partners to continually refine our outreach approach.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Students or Undergraduate College Students

Skills:

  • Proficiency with digital communication tools and platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability in coordinating and managing community events.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups.
  • Experience or aptitude for fundraising and donor relations.

Experience:

  • Experience in outreach or community engagement role.
  • Experience in organizing community events or campaigns.

Other Qualities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Passionate about STEM education and its broader societal impact.
