Role: Originals Social Lead

Wave Sports + Entertainment is a media company built for the next generation of digital super fans. Through a portfolio of over 30 media brands, original content, talent, and a suite of products and services, WSE reaches more than 500M Gen Z and Millennial sports fans on a monthly basis. Our original digital series include New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce and Podcast P with Paul George. Our core content is consistently ranked as the most highly engaged across Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube where over 100 million followers engage with our brands.

WSE is seeking an expert social media producer and strategist to join the WSE Premium Originals Team. This individual would serve a critical role internally and externally on our premium shows: developing the social media identity and content strategy, producing social content, and owning distribution and marketing. This highly collaborative and detail-oriented person will work with talent, social, commercial, and original content teams across our org, as well as external sponsors and partners.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating exceptional social media content, managing large online communities, and developing/executing social strategies for engagement, virality, and growth. This producer should have a keen sense for the current social landscape and trends, and will be able to implement that sense to create socially native, optimized content that yields viral engagement. This individual will bring an instinctive knowledge of how to write unique copy that mirrors the tone and voice of our shows while speaking the language of audiences on social.

Responsibilities

• Content distribution across all platforms, inclusive of: copywriting, schedule ownership, post tracking
• Develop brand identity on social and execute a programming strategy that leverages video, images, memes, and social trends to put this show at the top of users feeds
• Copywriting: brand building through tone and voice to engage a growing community
• Personal presence at on-the-ground original show executions
• Community management of a growing audience
• Creatively produce short video content stemming from longform (Youtube shows) for distribution on social
• Collaboration in the production of a full premium show

Qualifications

• Bonus: huge sports fan!
• Proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Premiere
• Experience managing, growing, and engaging social communities
• Experience producing content in or related original talent-driven shows
• 5+ years creating and managing social brands
• Proficiency working with multiple social media/digital platforms: Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter, Youtube being primary
• Experience creating and executing content strategies designed to market and promote

Physical Requirements

• Able to work full time M-F and nights and weekends as needed.
• Work is sedentary and involves sitting most of the time.
• Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and computer/printer
• The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

Work Environment

• The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during productions when in office.
• If required to work at any Company office, location, or with any Company employee, the worker must provide written proof of COVID-19 vaccination from the vaccine administrator or a CDC vaccination card, which includes the vaccination place, date(s), and name of vaccine.
• The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment.

This role is a full-time position with a base salary range of $120,000 to $135,000 per year, and may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity. We believe in investing the very best in our employees, so in addition to the base salary for this role, all full-time employees at WSE receive:
