RESPONSIBILITIES
- Educate themselves and the agency team on social media trends and updates across social media channels.
- Anticipate your client's needs, continuously developing creative ways to improve the client's social media presence and overall goals.
- Create weekly and monthly metric reports outlining social media performance and recommendations for improvement.
- Manage, execute, and measure the performance of digital marketing (social media and influencer activation) campaigns through the social media management lifecycle, including strategy, content creation, community management, and metrics and reporting.
- Advise clients on social media trends and the competitive landscape to help them achieve their goals and uncover opportunities to drive long-term value.
- Create long- and short-term social media plans, including recommendations for the social media channels to be leveraged, the spend to be allocated across these channels, the content pillars to be utilized per channel, and the cadence for posting, engaging, boosting, and retargeting of resources.
- Be a self-starter. This position works flexibly, and we don't believe in micromanaging. Understand that you will have very frequent interactions with the rest of the team on a daily basis to carry out the job.
- Format information for internal and external communications—emails, proposals, presentations, reports, etc.
- Create and post content on various social media platforms, including Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
Additional qualifications:
- The ability to operate with an always-available mentality with the understanding that we value work-life balance and can manage urgent needs and easily offset those with time offline
- Proficiency in working with Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Planoly, Later, or other content management programs would be helpful
- Project management experience would be beneficial. The ability to establish objectives, determine priorities, manage time, gain the cooperation of others, monitor progress, problem-solve, and make adjustments to plans
- Experience with paid social media
- The ability to maintain an extreme level of discretion and manage highly sensitive company and client information
EXPERIENCE AND CHARACTERISTICS
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- 2-3 years of digital or social media experience; agency experience is preferred.
- Client-facing and client-management experience
- A collaborator who works well with internal teams, partner agencies, freelancers, and clients
- Experience in a range of client verticals (beauty, fashion, and entertainment) is a plus.
- A highly service-oriented individual with the ability to work well both as an individual contributor and as part of a team
- Ability to work with strong personalities and be able to accept fast, direct feedback, and course correct quickly.
- Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong project management, planning abilities, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle a wide variety of activities, people, deliverables, and confidential matters with discretion.
- Flexible, versatile, and driven to obtain new skills and scale knowledge to take on uncharted territory
- Thorough understanding of and proven experience on all social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Snapchat.
- Big-picture thinking and vision
- Strong data analysis capabilities and proficiency with Google Suite
COMPENSATION
- This is a freelance, hourly position for approximately 15 - 25 hours per week.
- The position is remote.
