Summary

The Social Media Content Designer designs a wide variety of assets working in digital design, video editing, digital photography and videography, for social media, digital, and other online platform projects. This position plays a key role in designing content copy that captures the brand while attracting our target audiences to the appropriate call-to-action and ultimately converts each CTA to a website click and/or on-property visit.

Essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

• Maintain current working knowledge of social media platforms; existing, emerging, and new.
• Produce in-the-moment content during event coverage opportunities and quickly design recap content to publish on social media platforms
• Work closely with internal social media team, digital team and external agency to develop video assets for paid social media campaigns and website landing page experiences.
• Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines, rapid turnaround and delivery schedules.
• Design platform launches for emerging social media channels.
• Provide additional design support as requested.
• Maintain current working knowledge of all social media advertising trends and techniques.
• Produce social media content + copy as requested and contracted for Sponsorships & Partnerships; Working closely with the Corporate Promotions & Partnerships Manager
• Develop creative assets for organic social media and digital marketing campaigns.
• Contribute to developing social strategies and campaigns.
• Design engagement templates for Facebook and Instagram Stories to promote and gauge audience interest in casino promotions, upcoming entertainment, F&B specials, etc..
• Curate Instagram Grids that comply with brand standards and showcases ACC + ACF + Séc-he amenities and experiences while maintaining strategy and aesthetics.
• Design Instagram Reels, TikTok Videos, YouTube Shorts, and other video assets, including heavy and light weight motion.
• Maintain current working knowledge of all design tools, software, and trends.
• Must comply with all applicable ACRM, ACPS, and ACCC System of Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures and all Tribal Regulations
• Collaborate with Sr. Social Media Specialist and Social Media Specialists on content planning, scheduling, and publishing.
• Maintain current working knowledge of all social media software, tools, and capabilities.
• Design and edit social media native short and long form content, digital graphics, illustrations, still images, collages, videos, gifs, stories, etc., for static and carousel posts.

• Experience with publishing tool; Sprout Social preferred
• Specifically, Canva and InDesign
• Copy-writing
• Strong concept development and creative collaboration skills

• Excellent knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media platforms
• Excellent multitasking, time management, punctuality, and problem-solving skills with exceptional organizational abilities

• Strong grasp of design fundamentals (typography, layout, color, etc.)
• Minimum of an Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent experience in Social Media, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Digital Design or Communications
• Experience with a professional camera + strong editing skills
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Social Media; designing or managing for multiple channels and clients
• Specifically, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Bridge
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ miles, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of their shift. Also, may be subjected to a smoke-filled environment.

Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment, but will require travel amongst ACC, ACF, Séc-he and offsite sponsorship/partnership events The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone. Must have reliable transportation while being willing and able to travel amongst properties and offsite activations within the Coachella Valley for social media coverage and capturing content for social media designs.
