Description
The Operations Product Development group is part of the Joint Operations Leadership Team driving technology, business process and strategic innovation supporting Applied Materials Global Operations. The rapid growth in semiconductor markets across the world has created unprecedented opportunities and challenges in manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics. In this role, your work will directly align with major cross-company initiatives that position Global Operations as a strategic differentiator for Applied Materials. Staying close to business stakeholders, you will define and implement products that digitally transform the business while improving operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate the comprehensive solution, including introduction of new software tools, new business processes, strategy, operational workflows, etc.
- Serve as the product marketing focal during development of the solution, ensure that products remain closely aligned with business problems and end-user needs
- Baseline existing operational workflows through immersive participation, forge close relationships with key personas
- Iteratively implement technology and workflow solutions through validation pilots, measure associated business impact
- Develop detailed business requirements including value metrics, success criteria, and timeline
- Work closely with teams within Global Operations to identify key decision workflows that can greatly benefit from development of Operations Products
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience implementing new workflows into existing business processes, or design and implementation of change management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Operations Management, Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
- Previous experience developing software or business intelligence tools in a user-centric agile environment
- Prefer 2-4 years direct experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, product management, systems engineering or logistics
- Strong critical thinking skills, the ability to influence and communicate effectively within a diverse community (sales, finance, marketing, strategy, management)
- Self-motivated individual who can drive progress towards broad objectives without close supervision
- Introductory courses in statistics, data science and/or AI/ML
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

$100,000.00 - $137,500.00The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
