Position Overview

BakerRipley is seeking a Program Strategy Manager, reporting to the Director of Program Design & Innovation within the Program Strategy, Planning, & Evaluation (PSPE) division. PSPE’s purpose is to coordinate the collective impact of BakerRipley’s seven program divisions through collaborative program & systems design, evaluation & research, and feasibility & sustainability planning. This position will support the division’s program sustainability functional area. With a growth mindset, the Program Strategy Manager will use their background in nonprofit business models, program development, research/grant writing, and project management to support the 10-member PSPE Team’s drive towards the strategic growth and comprehensive integration of BakerRipley’s programs. The successful Program Strategy Manager is flexible, adept at problem solving, and enthusiastic about working on cross-functional teams, with strong relationship-building capabilities and exemplary analysis skills.
EXPECTED POSITIVE OUTCOMES
Serve as lead project manager on the creation of multi-year strategic roadmaps for each program division including an analysis of program sustainability plans, connecting design and evaluation plans to market research, resource maps, scalable staffing plans, 3-year budget analysis, promising program practices, business integration opportunities, and recommendations for revenue diversification. (40%)
Act as the division’s liaison to the Development and Program Resource Development teams, researching and analyzing new and next opportunities for program scale and revenue, based on defined agency strategies. (25%)
Lead the implementation of PSPE’s Continuous Communication plan, in partnership with the agency’s Communications Group stakeholders. Maintain Executive Program Summaries & Primers to support external communications, team onboarding, capacity building, and shared understanding of key program initiatives. (20%)
Attend various external and internal stakeholder meetings with the goal of advancing the agency’s socioeconomic mobility strategy. (15%)
Essential Functions
Leads analysis of program plans, defining opportunities for clearer connection to agency strategy and integration, and developing solution proposals that focus on greater financial sustainability of programs and the outcomes they deliver for our neighbors.
Supports the analysis of financial models to demonstrate best / most likely / worst case scenarios that support strong business planning and risk mitigation.
Explores new business opportunities within a non-profit and for-profit context to improve and support income diversification.
Supports program strategic roadmap development through national and regional landscape research, income diversification strategies, and identification of integration opportunities that elevate impact.
Creates weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence of internal communications that supports the program integration strategies of PSPE. Examples include drafting quarterly newsletter, collating and sharing priority trainings from national thought leaders, and developing storytelling arcs that feed the agency’s stewardship and reporting pipelines.
Supports ongoing development and maintenance of all PSPE documentation and deliverables including but not limited to program sustainability plans, budget forecasts, design methodologies, and integration approaches.
Conducts trainings and creates opportunities for knowledge-sharing to inform others about concepts, practices, learnings, and best practices that boost internal program capacity.
