Operations Analyst, Program Operations

Position Narrative (Overview) – SageSure, the insurance first, tech-forward, capital-lite managing general underwriter that focuses on the underserved, preferred homeowners middle-market, is seeking a Operations Analyst. This key role is responsible for end-to-end orchestration for the communication of all work moving through the “product factory” to our external stakeholders in Commercial, Sales & Marketing, Operating Analytics, Underwriting, Policy Services and Claims.

This role will have significant interaction across the Program Delivery organization as well as interaction with the greater Program Operations teams. The candidate should be ready to take ownership of data research and data management. The role will include the opportunity to get exposure to and experience with other aspects of Program Delivery and to learn from other members of a larger Program Operations team with broad and diverse talent and knowledge.

What you’ll be doing:

• Identifies opportunities to use data delivery and business solutions techniques to optimize their contribution to resolving business issues.
• Data Analysis and Reporting
• Translate business or operational improvement needs into measurable performance analysis in a clear and comprehensible format.
• Monitors performance trends and acts quickly to identify drivers of underperforming processes and activities.
• Uses approved business tools to meet the needs for Program Operations data reporting, analytics and program deliverables (ex. Alteryx, JIRA, SmartSheet, Excel)
• Performs compilation, analysis, and reporting of data; delivers key insights and recommendations on data trends to inform decisions.
• Participates in and contributes to the development of Program Operations OKRs and KPIs
• Recommend and implement improvements to our data analysis and reporting processes.
• Recommend and implement improvements to data analysis and management practices, including delivery, value and integration of analytics into business processes.
• Identifies business opportunities and operational process gaps through the application of trend analysis utilizing approved business tools.

We’re looking for someone how has:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deliver information effectively to all levels of management.
• Proficient SQL Skills
• Demonstrated application of knowledge, skills, abilities, and technologies towards work products (I.e., Querying, Data Compilation, Report Development, Requirements Gathering)
• Advanced Excel Skills
• 2-3 yrs. reporting and/or data management experience with accountability for complex tasks and/or projects using applicable tools and languages (i.e., SQL, Python, Alteryx, JIRA, SmartSheet); OR Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics
• Technical aptitude and ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders.

Highly preferred candidates will also have:

• Property Insurance experience
• Ability to envision data/trend reporting from the perspective of a customer, business stakeholder, or regulator.
• Proficient Alteryx Skills
• Experience working with JIRA, Smartsheet, and/or Confluence.
• Proficient Python Skills
