D.R. Horton, Inc.is currently looking for anOffice Assistantfor their Main Office Department. The right candidate will provide support with the daily activities of the office including filing, telephone coverage, and general clerical assistance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Answer all incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. Route calls to the appropriate department or individual. Assist callers with general questions
  • Place Orders for Field Staff (i.e. – Cintas, Water, Business Cards, General Office Supplies, etc.)
  • Greet and announce office visitors
  • Retrieve and distribute messages from general delivery voicemail
  • Prepare Check Requests, as needed
  • Obtain and Submit Documents for New Vendor set-ups
  • Disinfect countertops and equipment. Clean out refrigerator regularly
  • Provide administrative support to various departments
  • Troubleshoot any problems with office machinery. Call for maintenance, if necessary
  • Apply for Business Licenses and Process Renewals
  • Review and Code GL invoices in Docusphere
  • Any other day-to-day needs of the Corporate Office, as assigned
  • Plan and coordinate office/employee appreciation events/lunches etc.
  • Prepare outgoing FedEx Shipments
  • Arrange for any type of building maintenance that is required on an as needed basis
  • Maintain Division files. Keep filing current and create new files as needed
  • Maintain neat appearance of lobby, reception desk, kitchen, and conference rooms.
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Receive, open, date stamp and distribute all US Mail. Post all outgoing US Mail Replenish postage meter when funds are low
  • Order printer supplies and place maintenance calls for office equipment
  • Order and stock ALL office supplies


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training


Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
