The Network Support Engineer will be responsible for configuring, installing, and maintaining network devices and services. They will assess infrastructure needs, design and deploy networks, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support. The engineer will also collaborate with clients and upper management, suggest improvements, and handle special projects.
Duties

• Configure and install various network devices and services such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS.
• Facilitate technical design and architecture discussions with clients.
• Ability to work with Verizon, Spectrum, and T-Mobile.
• Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Validate and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices.
• Create, oversee, and test network resiliency measures.
• Communicate with upper management when necessary.
• Identify and suggest improvements for network performance, capacity, scalability, and resiliency.
• Design and deploy functional networks, including LAN, WLAN, and WAN.
• Monitor network performance to ensure system availability and reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including high- and low-level designs.
• Design and configure advanced routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Monitor system resource utilization, trends, and plan capacity accordingly.
• Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues.
• Assess network infrastructure needs and propose design augmentations as required.
• Possess technical knowledge of Cisco Meraki and CradlePoint hardware.

Basic Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of LAN, WLAN, and WAN design and deployment.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
• Troubleshooting skills to resolve network issues.
• Experience in configuring and installing network devices and services.
• Proficiency in designing and configuring advanced routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Familiarity with monitoring network performance and ensuring system availability.

Preferred Skills

• Experience facilitating technical design and architecture discussions with clients.
• Familiarity with working alongside Verizon, Spectrum, and T-Mobile.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Technical knowledge of Cisco Meraki and CradlePoint hardware.
• Ability to suggest improvements for network performance, capacity, scalability, and resiliency.
