Network Engineer Jobs

Responsible for daily support of the NYCHSRO/MedReview data network and security implementation, maintenance, and integration of the corporate WAN, LAN, and server architecture. Responsible for implementation and administration of network security hardware and software, enforcing the network security policy and complying with requirements of external security audits and recommendations. This position will provide multiple levels of support for all network troubleshooting and resolution. The Network Engineer will ensure smooth operations to provide maximum security, performance and availability and support current and future project implementation efforts.

• Zscaler Web proxy
• Experience in HITRUST/HIPAA Assessments areas are a plus.
• Cloud based IP Telephony and Nice InContact Call Center experience a plus
• Network based App Control
• IPD/IDS activity monitoring
• IPSEC & SSL VPN ‘s & network zoning
• MFT/SFTP
• Solar Winds SEM
• Palo Alto Firewalls
• Network Configuration & Performance Manager
• Routing, Switching, Nexus and Catalyst
• URL Filtering
• Cisco ASA/Firepower

Requirements/Qualifications:

• CCNA certification is required.
• Availability to work nights and weekends during (un)planned outages and other special circumstances, with 24/7 accountability.
• Part of the security team which reports the security analysis of findings, investigation of security breach alert, etc.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Analysis and implementation of new security protocols for greater efficiency against any threats or malfunctions
• Time management, planning and organizational skills
• Maintenance and implementation of the SOP for network security
• Collaborative\Team player
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Initiative, reliability & strong attention to detail
• 3 - 5 years of experience in network engineering and security including evaluating, developing, customizing, installing, and supporting network systems, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless networks and other networks and data center equipment
• Customer-service oriented mindset and Ability to come into office as this is an on-premises position.
• Ability to perform under stress.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent IT expericence
• Responsible for change control management for all network and security changes.
• Finding security issues and eradicating them with focuses that range from large scale DDoS, routing security, security tool development, defense against internal and external attacks.
• Assist in security audits and assessments.
