Job Description
Overview:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting physical and virtual network infrastructure including switches, wireless networks, firewalls, and network security appliances.
The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to)::
  • Deploy, configure, and support physical and virtual switches, wireless access points and controllers, firewalls and network security appliances
  • Implement and test disaster recovery scenarios
  • Perform maintenance tasks including updates, upgrades, and configuration modifications as needed
  • Responsible for network planning, design, implementation, and optimization
  • Assist in installing, maintaining, and upgrading Windows-based systems and servers
  • Work closely with IT administrators and security team to address any security related projects and issues
  • Identify network issues using various tools and methods while working with support teams
Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail
  • Proficieny in routing and switching technologies
  • Firewall experience (Cisco, FortiGate, PaloAlto) required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; conveys information accurately and concisely
  • Familiarity with: DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, SSL Certificate, RADIUS, OSPF, VPN, 802.11x, NetFlow, SNMP, SIP, SAML
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team and independently, establishing priorities, and exercising sound judgment; thinks through all aspects of a problem clearly and logically with a focus on solutions
  • Three or more years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (STEM)
  • Ability to provide on-call help desk support one weekend per quarter
  • CCNP certification or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • Wireless deployment and management experience a plus

Pay Range

$65,000 to $100,000 per year
Pay commensurate with experience and education
