Network Engineer Jobs

The Network Engineer is responsible for providing complex networking solutions that include highly secure and dynamic networks in a global production environment governed by Department of State standards. Provides complex networking solutions that include highly secure and dynamic networks on an enterprise basis. Analyzes business needs; this role utilizes their expertise for designing, implementing and testing a complex infrastructure in support of our customer needs.

SECRET CLEARANCE IS A PLUS

The candidate will produce a road map, engineer and coordinate network device configuration and management for implementing and supporting a wireless infrastructure integrating existing network technologies while proposing improvement to design. Ensure network devices comply with established policies, standards, licensing agreements, and configuration guidelines. Responsible for the writing, implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures and technologies to ensure networks are running secure and efficiently for an optimal customer experience. Assist with data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with team to maintain network availability and compliance
• Design, implement and support (including service updates) wireless environment spanning Cloud and on prem while maintaining compliance and best practice standards.
• Other Duties as assigned
• Manage incoming user requests and issues via ticketing system.
• Working with 3rd party vendors to maintain network availability, including Microsoft (Azure), Satellite service providers, cellular providers, telecom providers, hardware manufacturers (Cisco, Palo Alto, etc)
• Design, implement and support (including service updates) ISE environment spanning Cloud and on prem.
• Support the stand up, continued availability and shut down of remote sites as needed by the customer. Including access to internet, core networking, Azure environments as required by the sites needs.
• Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architect and senior engineers on network optimization
• Provide remote troubleshooting and fault finding when issues occur
• Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers
• Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
• Propose improvements to current processes or configurations to streamline network functionality
