Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

As the National Account Manager, working closely with the Director of Sales, Amazon Americas, you will help develop strategy and manage our digital business with select partners across the entire Melissa & Doug product portfolio. You will accelerate our digital sales growth through product placement and optimization of our online presentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Play a key role in the short and near term business planning to create substantive account plans inclusive of business and marketing strategies that drive revenue growth for Melissa & Doug products
  • Further the depth of account relations through day to day personal interaction with select buying teams
  • Identify business opportunities for program expansion in stores and online; use sales data to garner key insights that can help drive assortment/businesses decisions and ensure growth plans remain consistent with annual goals
  • Achieve targeted quarterly objectives for revenue and profitability consistent with the annual business plan
  • Acquire in depth knowledge around all aspects of the business
  • Plan and conduct business review meetings to ensure the customer is kept current on product line, features, and brand strategy, and to ensure that all of the relevant parties at Melissa & Doug are fully aware of the customer’s goals, strategies and future plans; communicate sales strategies, company initiatives, sales campaigns and promotions to ensure sales and brand objectives are achieved; drive development of the sales story and presentations
  • Continuously review sales data and profitability and ensure achievement of performance objectives and KPIs
  • Drive account brand/item listings and platform activation in the digital arena, in partnership with the Director of Amazon Americas
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and business planning internally, in partnership with AMZ Analytics team
  • Form strong partnerships with internal Sales Analysts, Financial Planning and Demand Planning teams
  • Provide constructive and collaborative product and merchandising feedback from vendors to internal Sales and Development teams

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong strategic & financial capabilities and comfort with tactical execution
  • 3-5+ years experience working in a fast-moving Toy, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), or Apparel company
  • Advanced Excel/analytical and PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Expertise in transforming strategy and vision into actionable plans
  • Superior attention to detail, time management and follow through
  • BS/BA or University degree in Business or similar field; MBA a plus
  • 2+ years of eCommerce experience with proven track record of driving accelerated digital revenue growth a plus
  • Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints and within budget parameters
  • Toy experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation and negotiation skills
