Job Description

As a Nortek DCC Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with large-scale, data center focused companies that reside in the southeast territory. This will include identifying, qualifying and penetrating prospective customers, educating the market on the Nortek DCC system and ultimately providing solution-based equipment systems to the region.


Job Details

  • Identifying, qualifying and developing lasting relationships with decision makers at strategic accounts
  • Developing a deep understanding of the Nortek DCC system and remaining current on evolving industry and ESG standards, market direction and new project announcements
  • Prospect, qualify and develop new business relationships with new customers and influencers such as data center specific contractors and engineering firms
  • Maintaining a constant cadence of in person meetings and technical seminars with strategic accounts
  • Creating, executing, and updating a detailed account plan for each strategic account
  • Collaborating with the Sales Application Engineers to educate the market on new technologies and system design strategies
  • Attending relevant trade shows, networking within industry organizations to diversify our market presence
  • Becoming a trusted advisor, influencing specifications and system design strategies
  • Using a top-down approach to diversify and grow market share within strategic accounts
  • Maintaining an accurate and detailed revenue forecast and customer database
  • Creating and maintaining a 5-year revenue growth plan with existing customers and new customers alike


Requirements

  • A trusted advisor with adequate technical knowledge around data center cooling, and current relationships within the data center market
  • Proven professional success with a strong collaborative and winning mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant technical sales experience
  • 5+ years of experience and professional growth for the data center equipment market
  • Hunter mentality with a bias for action that has excellent communication and technical presentation skills
  • Ability to travel overnight 20-30% with central location in Seattle WA
  • Proven B2B sales success by developing and executing sales plans with accurate forecasting
