• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
• Integrates technical parameters, and assures compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture(s)
• Resolves cross-functional technical issues that are direct to the successful build of the aircraft
• This position is expected to be 100% on site
• Execute the design integration work statement and support the program as it transitions to airplane mod focusing on hardware/software integration including systems functional test
• Driving closure of top aircraft technical issues; aligning engineering and production changes in fast-paced environment; evaluating test outcomes with design and build requirements Performing project engineering tasks including cost, schedule, risk, earned value management, driving affordability measures
• Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance to assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interface Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
• Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
• Strong communication and organizational skills and lead cross-functional teams through complex design challenges, including presentations/reporting to program leadership

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.

• 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 10+ years of experience with airplane programs products and processes
• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• Experience designing mechanical systems on airplanes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Strong Mechanical, Structural Design, IVT modeling, Catia/Enovia and Systems Engineering/Integration skills
• Active/Current Secret or Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance
• Experience with Commercial or Commercial Derivative aircraft (i.e. 747, VC-25, C-32, 767, KC-46)

Typical Education/Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
