Lufkin Gears / Baker Hughes seeks a Mechanical Designer Engineer for the Tooling Production Team. This candidate will lead efforts to develop highly technical tooling and procedures to advance manufacturing techniques in order to continuously improve manufacturing matrixes.

Lufkin Gears / Baker Hughes Mechanical Designer Engineer candidate will coordinate with a cross-discipline development team to design and develop the most advanced hand-held remote visual inspection (RVI) equipment in the world.
As a Mechanical Designer Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities
- Executing routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision.
- Engaging in customizing projects to client needs and conveying technical information both to clients and to colleagues out of other functions.
- Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Working within a team setting and / or under guidance while executing routine and / or complex analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Have a working knowledge of 3D CAD Software (working knowledge of CREO is desired)
- Have the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Engineering/Technology.
- Be able to use scales and micrometers daily (desired).
- Have oral and written communication skills.
- Have experience in gear design (desired)
- Have effective problem identification and solution skills.
