LOCATION CA


The Marketing Specialist provides marketing support to help drive revenue, engagement and retention among members and guests. The Specialist is one of the primary leads on helping to drive key marketing efforts by understanding/translating business strategies into effective marketing programming. The role is a key representative of Marketing with other departments within 24 Hour Fitness.


Essential Duties & Responsibilties


Manage Marketing Program Development and Execution


  • Work with internal creative teams to develop effective creative campaigns and execute solutions.
  • Translate business objectives, operational and consumer insights into marketing programming.
  • Plan and execute marketing program and event collateral from beginning to end on strict timelines.
  • Develop strong partnership with key internal and cross functional partners (e.g., business units, field teams at clubs, legal, creative services team, etc.).
  • Help respond to business needs and determine the appropriate solutions.
  • Help generate communication and creative strategies, ideas, and solutions to drive business.


Analytical and Budget Lead for Key Area of Responsibility


  • Develop and manage timelines to ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget.
  • Measure, analyze and summarize program performance, best practices, and implications.
  • Help manage marketing budgets for each business unit and work closely with manager on forecasting and reporting.
  • Oversee purchase order requisition process for all relevant programs.


Communication and Relationship Development


  • Cultivate and manage vendor communication and relationships.
  • Work with counterparts in Marketing to ensure cohesiveness with BU marketing programs and overall brand guidelines, external communication, and in-club marketing.
  • Identify new vendor opportunities to increase cost efficiency and quality execution.


Field Marketing Project Management


  • Leads kick-off of creative projects -- takes idea/request to initiation phase with meetings, copywriter involvement, etc.
  • Manages vendor relationships.
  • Field Program Development
  • Uses a project management platform to manage communication and assets.
  • Develops creative brief to establish project objectives and identify deliverables.
  • Grassroots Marketing Support
  • Manages design and production of marketing collateral, signage, and other marketing tools.
  • Establishes and maintains effective and productive communication and relationships with creative team and internal/external partners.
  • Acts as a regional marketing consultant to assess community-based opportunities that present a district or region-wide business impact.
  • Leveraging data, identifies and develops scalable localized marketing tactics and programs
  • Provides guidance on activation best practices.


ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS


This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Brand and PR. Position works with different levels of employees within the organization. Internally, the Specialist develops collaborative relationships among peers, cross functional counterparts, and team members in the field. This position often builds business relationships with several outside organizations including advertising agencies, model/talent agencies, print/production companies, outside legal counsel, and promotional vendors.


Required Qualifications


Knowledge, skills & abilities:


  • Ability to take in and relay information in a quick and efficient manner, with excellent follow up skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills. Ability to influence in a matrix business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret consumer trends and research and implement relevant and actionable marketing programs.
  • Strategic insight and business acumen.
  • Solid marketing and brand management fundamentals including marketing programming, advertising, direct marketing, media and web experience.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills; must be comfortable and have success juggling multiple projects at a very fast pace.
  • Strong cross-functional partnering experience.
  • A clear and effective communicator with company executives, management, and club employees, as well as a strong leader with outside companies and agencies.
  • Consumer focused with excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
  • Ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to manage business analysis and budgets.
  • Ability to adjust to and manage continuous change.
  • Proven creativity in developing new marketing ideas and initiatives.
  • Innovative thinker that challenges the status quo.
  • Excellent oral and written skills to include ability to prepare and present marketing presentations.


Minimum Educational Level/Certifications


  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree -- preferred in Marketing, or communications


Minimum Work Experience And Qualifications


  • 3+ years marketing experience building growth-oriented consumer brands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing the creative development process from concept through to implementation.
  • Experience working with external constituents and/or dealing with a matrix organization.
  • Marketing experience in the Retail, Fitness, and/or Service fields. Experience working with 3rd party vendors.


Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions


  • May have to lift packages of up to 30 pounds.


Travel Requirement


  • Travel up to 15% may be required.

Benefits Summary


24 Hour Fitness offers benefit programs designed to meet the diverse needs of all team members, including health coverage, as well as Company paid benefits that are automatically provided at no cost, such as group life and accident insurance. There are eligibility requirements for each plan based on your position, hire and/or service date and your average hours worked. Benefit eligible team members may also accrue vacation hours. All 24 Hour Team members, and their eligible dependents, receive a complimentary membership.


Compensation Summary


All Employees: Free Club Membership, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Basic Group Live and AD&D Insurance ($10,000), and 401k Savings and Investment Plan.


Average of 30 hours or more per week: Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off, and Sickness Benefits (in addition to the above).


Actual offer may vary from posted hiring range based on location, work experience, and/or education.


Salary range will vary based on geography of the applicant.


Pay Range for CO, NV, RI: $65,853.00-$80,500.00 (Exempt), $31.66-$38.70 (Non-Exempt)


Pay Range for WA: $69,798.00-$85,323.00 (Exempt), $33.56-$41.02 (Non-Exempt)


Pay Range for CT, New York City, Jersey City: $72,833.00-$89,033.00 (Exempt), $35.02-$42.80 (Non-Exempt)


Pay Range for CA: $65,853.00-$89,033.00 (Exempt), $31.66-$42.80 (Non-Exempt)
